New Weather Blues Lay-out.......
« on: December 27, 2012, 12:37:48 PM »

Due to an increase in webpages, I decided during the cold and snowy Christmas days to replace the 'Menu-Bars' in Weather Blues for a (more spacious) Frame-View......

Check it out at http://www.altonaweather.ca

Cheers,

Arthur

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your encouraging comments!!
My 'learning curve' since May has evolved a bit, and when finally ideas can be realized in an actual (new) webpage it's a good thing.  :D

Hopefully 'more' to come...  :)

Cheers,

Arthur

Hi Joe,

Forgot to mention a Healthy & Happy New Year to you as well, but you might have seen my 'World-Wide' message on my main index page  :))
My stats show Aurora, is a good 'follower'...! Thanks.

BTW, I just finished some enhancements to my 'Site Map' page. Thought it was a bit 'naked' with just text, so I introduced some (subject related) .png icons....  ;D

Keep checking..!!??

Cheers,

Arthur

Hi Arthur,

Yes, I saw your season's greetings for Christmas and now for New Year's!  ;)

You also have a habit of taking "naked"  :o pages and turning them into something really interesting!  ^-^

Always checking..!!??

Joe

Continueing with the new lay-out, I decided to give it another change..... 8)

Some of my pages contain many 'sub-pages' like [Info Pages] and [Global Weather], so the number of buttons in 1 frame appeared to be too much...
Cut it in half and now have a 3 frame standard Weather Blues lay-out which divides all page-buttons into a:  'Main' frame, 'sub' frame and 'sub-sub' frame.
Hopefully it makes sense, otherwise have a look at http://www.altonaweather.ca   :)

Cheers,

Arthur

That's a very nice and well polished site. I also love that translucent over a picture style of page.

One thing you have to explain to me......

He means that while you are scrolling down your page he or she could still see the picture background
at the same time viewing your information. ;)

Isn't that a 'standard' feature of Weather Blues (the trasnparent frame with all the information??

I haven't changed anything  :))

Arthur

Perhaps, but I haven't checked out most of the templates since they're run off Cumulus (Windows) while I use pywws (linux). I still like that effect.
