New Moon Art
« on: July 19, 2012, 11:04:28 AM »
[attachment=0:2xili991]Snapz Pro XScreenSnapz001.jpg[/attachment:2xili991]Anyone else notice this? When I scroll down the page, there's an area of the art that seems to carry an artifact of whatever was previously occupying that part of the screen.

Hi Tom,

Is this still apear? I've checked with Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 13.01
and noticed nothing wrong! We don't see any moon in this box, but according
to "Moon visible at 0%"... it's not supposed to have one! Then all ok!

In the same time, I've viewed your photos in header slideshow... they're terrific!
Are you a protograph?

Regards,
Jacques

The new moon image appears that way on my Mac. I'm viewing it on Firefox 12.0.

It looks correct when viewed on Safari.

Thanks for the compliments on the photos. I'm not a pro, just a hobbyist!

Hi Tom,

Mac...Ok! I've see sometimes that graphic library have _MACOSX folder.
Then I think something could be done, but the only Apple I have is 1st gen iPad
and problem doesn't appear!  :(

If you find any solution I'm ready to take a look!

Regards,
Jacques

Ps. I bought a Fuji 24x zoom and hope one day to have those quality pics!

Hi Tom,

Thanks for that video!

I see that the problem seems to be with the moon image itself.
That image is a "stack" of 2 images; 1st is a .png file on which
a second file, moon.bmp is stacked.

Moon.bmp is a snapshot of the moon in Cumulus program.
As I see it, .bmp is a format specific to Windows and OS/2.
Maybe you could try to convert it to jpg or png and see how it is?

Regards,
Jacques

Interesting that it only happens in that one section of the image.

I'll work on it this weekend and let you know what I find.

Hi Tom,

Normal that is only on that image; it is the only bmp on that template!

And as I said, moon.bmp is a small image, over a big starlignt!

Have you an other browser on your Mac?

Let me know for fun (maybe we could convert from bmp to jpg, in php)

I also have Safari on my Mac, and the image looks correct with Safari.

Problem only seems to be with Firefox.

Tom,

Check out my website in which I put a (much) nicer moon image than the current Cumulus version.
It's available at:
http://www.moonconnection.com/moon_module.phtml
Easy to obtain the code (= script) and it updates in realtime.
The image is great!!

Cheers,

Arthur
