Hi Kinnabalu,
(Is that an Irish name / expression?? Please explain :))
Congrats with your site.
I like the description in [about] and look forward to see more impressive pictures of this wonderful part of Europe.
Have visited a few times while living in Europe (moved to Canada some 12 years ago).
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Arthur

As ou can see from my pictures mountains are my passion so Kinnabalu is just a username that I have adopted after climbing this mounatin in Borneo several years ago and it left a lasting impression on me...I hope to post some pictures of it also sometime in the future.

Hi Jacques
Thank you for your words of encouragement.
I do live in a beautiful place but it rains on average about 150 days of the year and the annual rainfall can be up to 2000mm!!! >:(
I have been lucky to have had the chance to visit Canada also but only to a small part of Ontario. However I found it to be a beautiful also and plan to return to explore more of your great country
regards

Hi Sean,
Thanks for the explanation. Never had thought about a mountain in Indonesia!!!
I tried to (re) visit your site again today (Tuesday 16/10) but couln't get access to it....??????
Glad you liked your visit to Canada (I live in Ontario). We experience the most beautiful Autumn Colours at this moment since 10 years (due to a dry summer), and I just updated my index page - header photo - with views taken from my kitchen window.. :)
Just make another visit to Canada whenever you can!!!
Cheers,
Arthur

Thanks Arthur.
I have had a look at your site and your banner pictures look amazing! :-* I would love to know how you adjusted the buttons to get more on there as I would like to add more links to some more pages I am think of including.
I have added some images that I have taken around Ireland with either a camera on my mobile phone or a simple point-and-shoot and I have lots more I would like to include but have no idea how to add another page. I have also uploaded some pictures taken on my various travels across the globe but alas none from Canada!
cheers

Hey Sean,
Amazing Pictures!!!
Nice to see there's still a lot of 'space' in Europe, although you have to go to the right place!!!
Adding new pages is simple:
You have to change some setttings in the 'styles.css' file. Here's how to:
In 'style.css' file, find the following lines:
#buttons a {
...
font-size: 18px;
padding-top: 20px;
...
}
For the space inbetween:
.but {
padding: 0px 10px;
}
Just 'play' a bit with these settings and you'll see the text is getting smaller (I used 16px to begin with) and you'll see the text getting closer together when you edit the padding (I used 8 px to start with).
Now create another page. (for example ireland.htm)
Add this page into your existing pages (you have to do this for each page).
Example in my situation:
Currently:
<div id="buttons">
<a href="index.htm" class="but but_t" title="Main page / Current Weather">Current Conditions</a>
<a href="site.htm" class="but" title="Site Information Overview">Site Map</a>
<a href="today.htm" class="but" title="Recent Observations">Recent</a>
Now add your new page:
<a href="ireland.htm" class="but but_t" title="Images from Ireland">Images from Ireland</a>
<a href="index.htm" class="but" title="Main page / Current Weather">Current Conditions</a>
<a href="site.htm" class="but" title="Site Information Overview">Site Map</a>
<a href="today.htm" class="but" title="Recent Observations">Recent</a>
Note that I changed the "but' for the new page (this is refering to the page displayed).
Make sure, you add the new page to all of your other pages.
By changing the font & space as described before, you can add more pages (= text) into your Main Menu.
To change those into buttons and a second Menu bar is a whole different story :)
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Arthur

Hi Arthur!
Many thanks for taking the time to explain in such detail! I will have a go and see what I can do without messing it up.
I have just had another visit to your site and I think that your world weather data page looks absolutely amazing-very professional looking!
kind regards
Sean

Hi Sean,
Hope it works.
Haven't seen any additional pages (yet) :)
Sure they will come.
Thanks for your positive comments!! Much appreciated!!
This wet and windy weekend I stepped away from the original "blue-ish' theme of the Weather Blues Template, and made everything (all buttons had to be changed.. :o) into a more consistent colour with the data/information framework on the page which is more 'silver-grey-ish' :)
See if you like it!!!
Keep me informed about the good work,
Cheers,
Arthur

Hi Arthur
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you but I have been travelling, taking more photographs and working on adding more tabs to my website as per your instructions! ;D As you will see it has worked out very well and I even have room for one more-perhaps a later addition of radar data or the like.
I see from your site that you are having similar weather to us in Ireland! Some pretty low temperatures here but no snow as yet-just lots and lots of rain!
hope all is well with you
kind regards
Sean

Hi Sean,
Looks great, all the [images] tabs. Fits perfectly.
I assume you didn't make all the new additions to your [image] pages in 1 trip..?? :) ???
Looks like you made some interesting trip. Pictures are fabulous!!
I'll see when the new tabs are "on".
Cheers,
Arthur

Hey, Kinnabalu we live less than 20 miles apart!! Small world :)

Hi Derryweather!
Great to see that I am not the only one around these parts with an interest in the weather!
Do you have a weather station and/or a web site?

Yeah, currently in the process of developing my site, using the base theme by these guys and completel redeveloping and designing it http://www.derryweather.co.uk/weather/
I'm also posting 15 minute updates to twitter @derryweather
Are you on Twitter or Facebook? Would be good to chat to someone local about weather!! All my friends think I'm a weirdo lol
-
Your web site is looking good! Sorry but I don't use either Facebook or Twitter. I know what you mean about people thinking that it's weird to be into the weather but to me it's a science and I'm a bit of an anorak anyway! ;) You should check out Weather Underground/ Wunderground- I send my data there too. The folks on here are really helpful in getting the best from your site and doing some pretty cool stuff on it. Interesting to compare your data with mine- had two inches of snow out here on Tuesday and looks like more on the way tomorrow!!!!

It's in early development stages at the minute so alot more to come from it :)
I'm probably one of the weirdest people interested in weather to be fair lol I don't have a good education... I'm pretty big into body building, I loving gaming, I'm a web developer, and I love tinkering at cars haha I'm just not your stereotypical weather enthusiast lol
Can you private message me your email address? I'd love to keep chatting with you, with you being so local to me!!
