hi all,
despite looking, I cant see anywhere on here where we can download the weather nature template?
Ive found this (http://weatherbyyou.com/pywws/), but can see no dl link anywhere.
Im after templates that will work with pywws, but all the ones in the template section appear to only be designed for cumulus. Im a complete noob at this but will definitely be using a linux system running on a RPi.
could anyone please point me towards the weather nature template download link, or of course any other suitable templates.
many thanks

superstar :) thanks very much

just as a matter of interest, can the the weather blues php template be fed by pywws?
-
Hi Matt,
Sorry, no common base between them. :(

That's ok :) from what I'm seeing there doesn't seem to be as many templates for Linux based systems. Which is fine as they're obviously going to be lower demand.
I might have a play at making something more unique once I've worked out all the nuts and bolts.

Hi Matt,
I've made this template because I wanted to play with "Open" Router
and weather station was a perfect project for that. Now I have 2 live
console connected on different hardware, running different software!
But things are not easy to me as I'm and old Dos/Windows user from
a long time, so Linux is not my 'cup of tea'. I've done that template to
contribute to pywws community... as you wrote, maybe if demand extend...
Hope you fun with your template, I've keep it simple, but it can be what
you want it to be!
Best Regards,
Jacques

its all good :)
just as a matter of interest, is there any other software that youd recommend that produces any more detailed data?
I notice that with cumulus that the density of data is much better than of pywws.

Hi Matt,
It's hard to find a free software mature as Cumulus!
I've listed some serious linux alternative in 'Software' section (http://weatherbyyou.com/software.php)
Since I was limited to "No Pc" project, I've choosed pywws,
but it seems to have some other projects "boiling" around.
Sure, pywws is not as "deep" as Cumulus, but developement
is pretty active and authors, Steve and Jim are working the
same way... then, pywws is my "winning horse"!
Don't hesitate if you find something new... share it!
Best Regards,
Jacques

Certainly shall :) cumulus looks awesome. But I can't have a windows box running 24/7 as easy as I can have a Pi. It's possible to run XP on a pi, but I have no idea how usable it would be, I might try it out just to see.
I need to get into python for work (im a programming lecturer) but I'm not enough of a weather geek to attempt something of the complexity needed. :o
If I can find something open source I might have a play over the summer and see what comes up!
