Dear Jacques,
Firstly can I say what a great site and suite of software you have provided. I'm really enjoying trying to learn a bit about HTML and webservers etc.
Secondly can I apologize if this issue has been raised elsewhere. I have looked but cannot find it.
I am using WB v1 and have successfully installed it on my NAS at home which has a webserver facility. The idea is that once I get familiar with everything I will move to a hosted server.
The problem I am having is with the Gauges page. Three of the gauges are not lined up with the circular frame. The three gauges are Wind Direction, Wind Speed and Wind Distribution. It looks like they have to be moved down and to the right.
I have viewed the page with different pcs and browsers - no difference.
Your guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.
I assume that there is some sort of positioning code somewhere but I cannot see anything obvious.

Hi Dubs,
Thanks for kind comments, I'm happy that site pleased you!
Your gauge problem seems to be a configuration problem,
but I haven't your site link to see it by myself!
Alignment problem with these gauges are near always due
to something special in computer display, as myself running
Windows with a "zoom" of 125%. Since Cumulus do a kind
of "printScreen" for these gauges, they are too big, then misaligned!
So, send a link to see if it is the problem on your site.
Regards,
Jacques

Jacques, thanks for the prompt reply. I am using a 10 inch toshiba netbook which does have some clever zoom facilities. I have only viewed the site using laptops so this may be the problem.
I'll have to get a hosted site.

Hi Dub,
I don't think that a hosted site will solve the problem.
Often, portable have "strange" video resolution, so, before
try to put your laptop to 1024x758 display and run Cumulus
this should resolve your problem!
Best Regards,
Jacques

Hi Jacques, my netbook cannot do that level of resolution, so I hooked it up to a 32" screen. I've tried all resolution setting and screen zooms and the problem remains. I see another post has been put on the forum with a similar problem. Here is a jpg of one of the gauges to show you what it looks like.

Mine is still off a little bit but was never that far off center. I originally was trying to get WB2 loaded and we did but never could get Cumulus to send data to the server probably so I went back to the WB1 and it's doing great all but the little off on the gauge's. Hope it get's worked out I really do love the WB1 and WB2. Check out my gauges and see what you think?

Hi Terry,
There is some errors in your page, check these:
<h1><em>Gray, Georgia USA</em></h1>
at end of file, maybe a typing error on script word:
document.write("<sc"+"ript type='text/javascript' src='" +
and image always need to be ended with ... />
<img class="statcounter" src="http://c.statcounter.com/993074/0/365e16ba/1/" alt="web analytics" />
Things could be better with these corrections.
If not, we will have to tweek a bit.
Regards,
Jacques

Thank you I will go check it out..

I fixed the first error and I found this one but not sure how it suppose to be:
ocument.write("<sc"+"ript type='text/javascript' src='" +
This is my guess but not done it yet waiting to be safe.
ocument.write("<"+"script type='text/javascript' src='" +
These programming classes r tough, lol I really appreciate it.
Fixed the last error.
I wait til I here back before fixing script error.. Thanks, Terry

I too have a problem with the gauges not lining up. Could you take a look at the link below?
I have not modified anything from your original files

I just found the patch files on another thread and will try them.

Hey thanks so much for that info. I will take a look and see if I can figure that one out. :)
-
Could you help me out a bit here? I downloaded the zip file from the site but only see demos. I looked at your code. Now I feel like a real dummy.
Where do I start? LOL
-
Well, I found the patch that was posted for the original gauges and it worked fine.
I also upgraded/installed the guages-ss and finally got it working. For some reason my realtime.txt file was not uploading. I installed everything to a new directory on the server and got it going. Then I hacked the template to get what I have now.
I am working on getting rid of the last two gauges on the page as I do not use them. So far when I just delete the last two gauges, I also loose the rose from on of the gauges on the next line up.
