Title: Struggling with rpi / pywws - forecast and hourly setup
Post by: welshboff on August 26, 2014, 10:09:46 AM
Hi,

I've done some digging around on the forums and haven't been able to find the answer. I think I'm missing something really obvious and hope you can help.

I've set-up my RPI with the maplins weather station as per the dragontail guide. I have set-up the hourly cron job. I have my RPI to ftp files to my Synology box which acts as my web server (http://srj.dyndns-home.com/weatherstation/index.php?page=1hour).

I've download the pywws weather nature template and placed that onto my Synology box.

I have problems with the weather forecast and 1 hour sections. I was wondering if you can point me in the right direction. I've included the link so you can take a look.

Hi..............What does your hourly section in weather.ini look like.??

Which one, the one on the Synology Box or the one on the RPI.

The one on the Synology is:
last update =
plot = ['24hrs_full_features.png.xml', '24hrs.png.xml', 'rose_24hrs.png.xml']
text = ['feed_hourly.xml', '24hrs.txt']
twitter = []
services = []

The one on the RPI is:
[hourly]
services = []
twitter = []
text = ['24hrs.txt', '7days.txt', 'feed_hourly.xml', 'allmonths.txt']
plot = ['7days.png.xml', '24hrs.png.xml', 'rose_24hrs.png.xml', '24hrs_full_features.png.xml']

Hi again..............Where is the file "1hrs.txt". I assume its in the "Templates folder on the pi..? Or it may be in a Folder "Text". I modified my directory name. It then appears in the "Data" folder on your web server, along with all the other .txt and .png files. Hope this helps.
