Promote your site! / New Tide Section Added
« Last post by Andy9164 on February 18, 2019, 05:17:27 PM »
Hi everyone,

A couple of changes to my website.

There is a new section for "Tides". The UK Admiralty now have a free developers API where you can download tide information for UK ports. With BIG THANKS to Mark Crossley over at the Cumulus forum I was able to manage to produce the following (Mark did all the work, I just took what he did and made some small modifications to fit in with my site theme). Tide is updated every hour and gives predictions for approximately 7 days.

If you click on the tides button in the top left you can see other ports which are local or have some interest for me.

I also changed my Forecast pages. The nice people at Wunderground who are now owned by IBM have decided to change the free API so you can now only get a 5 day forecast, no hourly forecast, no satellite images, no radar images so for my forecast I have moved across to (its a free API unless you make over 1,000 calls per day). It wasnt too difficult to switch and it provides the information I need. Click on the forecast button at the top and select 8-day or hourly.

For MX (Linux) engine, include files has to be modified.
Specially seperation charactor need to be changed to match your configuration.

You could browse forum for messages about MX.
In particular, go to this one (a MX test files I've done some time ago)

Php templates / Weather Blues 2.2
« Last post by G6GUH on January 31, 2019, 04:37:35 AM »
Hi. after a while not using weather blues I have tried to install version 2.2 but have failed to get it to work.
Following the information on this site I have modified the files with my information and uploaded then to my website, but it then comes up with error 500 when trying to logon. But it seems that I must be missing some info somewhere, any sugestions please. On CumulusMX are there any files the need adding or modified because the wt file does not seem to be trying to upload. I suspect that I have not set up the installation correctly but have followded the information in the instructions.

I am using a raspberrynpi  and CumulusMX

Any help please

Regards Pete
Html Templates / Re: Problem with Weather Blues Template

Hi Weathernut,
Just seen your post. I dont normally look in html forum as I use php so quite lucky really.

Only thing I can think of is that the yesterday file is possibly not being processed by Cumulus, but I dont see why if all the other files appear to be processed.

Can you attach a copy of your yesterdayT.htm file from Cumulus and also a copy of yesterday.htm form your website and I will take a look.

I also need to take a step back here as I did some more testing today.

If the wt_data_inc file is not being processed by Cumulus it also brings the same error.

So firstly, make sure the following files are being processed in Cumulus by copying them across to your main Cumulus directory and then:

For Cumulus 1.9.x version go to Configuration --> Internet and click on the Files tab and add the entries like so (just an example)
Local Filename: C:\Cumulus\wt_data_inc.php
Remote Filename: public/website/weather/wt_data_inc.php
Make sure the "Process" and the "FTP" buttons are checked.

The same will apply if you are using Cumulus MX except the settings are found under the "Settings" --> Extra Web Files menu.

Files that need processing are wt_data_inc.php and wt_month_inc.php

Let me know how you get on. As I say you may need other changes if you are using CumulusMX.

I had a search in the forum as I had done some work on a similar issue before. This was related to when using Cumulus MX with Weather Blues template but I think you may run into similar issues with Weather Sunset template whem using Cumulus MX.

If you search for parse in the php template forum you will find more information.

If you need more help just shout.

Hi Giggino,
I will try and help you out if I can.

First question, which version of Cumulus are you using.

I uploaded the Weather sunset template but when I go to open my web page I have this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'h' (T_STRING) in /membri/lastazionedelporto/wt_data_inc.php on line 486
Can someone help me understand the problem? Many thanks!
