german language file
« on: November 24, 2012, 02:44:35 PM »
Hi,

Strangely enough my package is missing the german language.
My host isn't supprting "fsockopen" so the manage page doesn't work.
Where can I download this file ?

Regards Jan

Hi Jan,

You could simply check on the site, in the download page.
All languages are in this section, available for download!

You could have them in a all-in-one file Text_Standard_All.zip
or download only language you're interested in.

Best regards,
Jacques

Hi Jan,

Sorry, my fault! I was mixed between German and Dutch  :-[
German translation is done at 95%, but never get completed!  :(

I was thinking to modify language pack to have a "fall-back"
to 2nd language when a word is missing, but it's a huge job
to do on all templates and since only German was in that situation,
I've put that project at bottom of my list!

Then, I have to correct my .zip description as no German is included!
If you have some spare time... you could check it... around 50 words
are missing... on 450!! Maybe just an hour to do it!

Best regards,
Jacques

Hi Jacques,

If you like I can have a look. My German is not that good, but when it's done users can shoot at it.
I already did it for the header menu part.

Regards Jan

Hi Jan,

If you want to look at it, you could see these pages:
http://meteoduquebec.com/translation/now.php
Then, you have to select your language in the right column

In upper part, you see in yellow characters, the main menu with all pages
There is 12 pages for now and each page counting around 40 words
to translate. You could check what left to do, in details:

- About page: 1 phrase
- Misc page: around 50% done
- Station page: 3 phrases
- Strings.ini page: 25% done

If you find it ok for you, you just have to register, at this link:
http://meteoduquebec.com/translation/
You'll see at this page that is easy as ...1...2...3

I plan a 13th page in a short delay to include menu translation
and a few new words from the Cumulus v1.9.3 to be ready
for Official Cumulus 1.9.3

Best regards,
Jacques

Hi Jacques,
I already registered there. However when I want to log in I get this message:

Login and/or password did not match to the database.

So from there I'm stuck.

Hi Jan,

I'm sorry, I think having done a mistake!  :-[
This morning I've done some "sweeping" into the user list
and I probably deleted your account.

Then, please register again.

Sorry,
Jacques
