My station in Norway
« on: June 23, 2013, 11:46:12 AM »
Hi!

I just bought a weather station for my cottage near Oslo, Norway.

My setup:
* A WH1080 weather station
* Mobile broadband (external antennae mounted on the roof)
* A Raspberry Pi with pywws to export data from the weather station
* Rsync of data to a Ubuntu server (located elsewhere) where the web page is
* Pywws on the server to generate the data for the Nature template

My weather site: http://byge.morkcloud.com/

The Nature template looks fantastic.  Thanks a lot!

Both the Nature template and pywws was nice and pretty easy to work with. I planned to make a nice looking website, and was extremely happy when I found the Nature template which made the job so much easier.

After using the site myself for a couple of days (and fixing a bug in pywws which made the generating of windrose plots impossible), I have got the site for my needs, with the units we use here, and the things I want on the front page.  I suspect my wife thinks I am a bit silly using all this time on the weather station, but it has been a while since I had such fun on a project :-)
