Nivo-Slider Problem
« on: July 12, 2013, 07:13:54 AM »
I've updated the Steelseries Gauges, and when I did, I lost my Nivo-slider. I've copied every reference I could find for it from the pages where the slider to works to the gauge page, but no luck. Can you tell why they're not working?

Here's a link to the gauge page (where they don't work): http://tomkeramidas.com/cumulus/gauges.htm

They work on the rest of the pages of my site.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Tom,

I think that the propblem is with versions of jQuery library.
Both Nivo-Slider AND SS Gauges need jQuery, but they probably
aren't compatible with all newest jQuery version. (jQuery has been
completely rewrited aroud version 1.8 I think).

I hope this will give you a trail!

Best Regards,
Jacques

My slider does not work either on gauge page as well.. watch the rain gauge mine will not register past .50 as well.. I think when we try to change things it gets a bit crazy,  However how did you get the birds flying in there? Very Cool.. Thanks, Terry

Isn't that the default scaling for the rain gauge UNTIL it reaches .50? Then it auto-scales up.

Does yours not auto-scale when you get more than .50 or rain?

The birds came from Mark Crossley (the same guy who did the Steelseries Gauges). Drop him a note and he'll direct you where to get the js file.  The birds are fun. They scatter when you try and mouse over them.

As for the Nivo-Slider, I'm going to try and see if I can figure it out this weekend. The slider works on my other pages, just not the gauge page. I'm sure it's some kind of javascript file incompatibility...
