Greek character problem
« on: February 27, 2013, 11:15:14 AM »
Hi Georges,

Very good install!

As I see your template, text are not the problem, but data is!
You probably using "Standard" data files (wt_data_inc.php & wt_month_inc.php)
Those files are for "English-Friendly" characters... but in your case, you need
international version, then check to use wt_data_intl.php & wt_month_intl.php
(They have to be renamed ...*_inc.php before sent to the website!)

Hope this help,

Regards,
Jacques

Thank you for the quick answer, but I did that and all I get is a white page!! If I got it right, I rename the two _intl files to _inc at the folder of my pc and let the program send them to site?

Hi Georges,

You have to tell Cumulus to process these files,
Be sure to do this configuration into Cumulus, like this:
See: http://weatherbyyou.com/wsu_install.php#install

Good morning Jacques, from rainy Chalkida! If you agree, you can transfer this to Templates and Projects support ยป Php templates, so the other people in the forum read it and  maybe helped from it. As for my "problem" , I have done everything "by the book", but I have the same result. Maybe the problem is in Cumulus, because the program iw in English, but shows the months names in Greek and I can't find a way to change it. Then, the template transfers from Cumulus the names with the Greek characters. Also I try to change the encoding at Firefox, with no result! I 'm stuck for now  :(

Hi,

I generated latest Greek translation, you simply have to unzip

Rename file 'strings_gr.ini' to 'strings.ini' and copy it to C:\Cumulus
Send 'text_standard_gr.php' to your online template, in folder 'lang'
Then, after Cumulus process, look at your site to see if..

Hope this help!

Jacques

Hi Jacques. Thank you very much for your effort, but...no luck! And not only that, but it meshes the main screen of Cumulus, and the problem is still there! That 's a shame, because it's a very nice template and today, I finish all pages  :( :'(
I think the problem is in Cumulus, that transfers the names of months from my -greek- system. As soon as I change the locale in Windows to english, corrects the month names, but crashes Cumulus!!! Any ideas, before I uninstall and reinstall Cumulus?

Thanks anyway!!

Hi,

For that phrase. I've included the file 'text_standard_gr.php',
in the Greek.zip I've posted. Simply copy it to your website,
into the lang folder. All will be translated Greek!

Hope this help,

Jacques

Good day to you all! No luck for my problem...The only thing that works was to change local settings in windows to English language. The result was a really mesh in the log files, that force me to edit them manually!!!
REMARK:  WeatherLink does not affected by any change and works perfect no matter what I do... Anyway, thank you for the nice template...
